Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice.
1. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We request you to check this.
2. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friends clicked 'run' he ran up to Amritsar ! So, we request you to change that to 'sit', so that we can click that by sitting.
3. One doubt is whether any 're-scooter' is available in system? I find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.
4. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ' find'button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.
5. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft sentence', so when you will provide that?
6. I brought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows 'MY Computer': when you will provide the remaining items?
7. It is surprising that windows says 'MY Pictures' but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.
8. There is 'MICROSOFT OFFICE' what about 'MICROSOFT HOME' since I use the PC at home only.
9. You provided 'My Recent Documents'. When you will provide 'My Past Documents'?
10. You provide 'My Network Places'. For God shake please do not provide 'My Secret Places'. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my office hours.

Hari ini cik quantum na dah meletup....baru sahaja tegur dengan 'some one' yang meletakkan bukan satu tapi 3 notis! untuk menyatakan tolong senyap dalam lab!....yes, dialah yang paling rajin mengetuk bilik jika bising...dan siap tanya adakah tmpt ini sesuai untuk discussion?...dan marilah bersama2 menjadikan lab sebagai tmpt yang sesuai untuk belajar, Yes! memang patut senyap, tapi bila ada perbincangan...takkan nak guna bahasa isyarat!.... apa yang telah Cik QuantumNa buat,

Hi guys, i just finish to trying find my sub algebra SU(3)XSU(3), but i still fail to do it. So, before I changed to WOLWORINENA...i should do something else.....hehehe

Last Friday I watch movie at TV3, i got something good....what?


We are true failure when we stop to trying…

Huh! I read more than 10 times this sentences…..it make my self want to do again and again…..but when I fail again and again….that’s mean I need to stop and do another thing then continue back my work! i am right? hehehe

Abstract: Plagiarism is a crime against academy. It deceives readers, hurts plagiarized authors, and gets the plagiarist undeserved benefits. However, even though these arguments do show that copying other people's intellectual contribution is wrong, they do not apply to the copying of words. Copying a few sentences that contain no original idea (e.g. in the introduction) is of marginal importance compared to stealing the ideas of others. The two must be clearly distinguished, and the 'plagiarism' label should not be used for deeds which are very different in nature and importance. Malay Version - Siapakah intelektual Muslim?

DALAM perspektif Islam, seorang intelektual bukan sahaja memahami sejarah bangsanya, melahirkan gagasan dan analisis yang cemerlang tetapi harus menguasai ajaran Islam termasuk bersikap kritikal dalam menilai sejarah serta berpegang teguh pada kejujuran ilmiah. Perkataan intelektual dalam Islam dapat dirujuk kepada perkataan ulul-albab yang disebut sebanyak 16 kali dalam al-Quran. Menurut al-Quran, ulul-albab adalah kelompok manusia yang diberi keistimewaan oleh Allah.
Di antara keistimewaannya adalah diberi hikmah (kebijaksanaan) dan pengetahuan. Kajian dan wacana tentang peranan intelektual Muslim telah banyak diperkatakan oleh sekian banyak sarjana dan pemikir. Antara yang paling menonjol adalah Ziauddin Sardar. Beliau ialah seorang intelektual Muslim tersohor. Dalam bukunya, The Future of Muslim Civilization, beliau menegaskan: "Apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan intelektual Muslim? Intelektual Muslim adalah suatu segmen Muslim terdidik yang memiliki akses khusus kepada nilai-nilai budaya yang kerana itu dapat mengambil posisi kepemimpinan. Orang-orang terdidik tidak dengan sendirinya intelektual, mereka sering tidak peduli kepada hal apa pun, kecuali ilmu teknik atau bidang masing-masing. Modus pemikiran yang menjadi ciri intelektual adalah ideologi iaitu sebuah ideologi yang mengekspresikan pandangan dunia dan nilai-nilai budaya mereka." Dengan demikian, intelektual Muslim adalah lapisan Muslim terdidik yang mempunyai peranan khusus dalam mengembangkan nilai-nilai budaya. Kerana itulah, mereka dapat menjadi pemegang kepemimpinan dalam masyarakat. Manakala Deliar Noer, seorang intelektual Muslim Indonesia dalam bukunya, Masalah Ulama Intelektual atau Intelektual Ulama berpendapat, intelektual Muslim adalah para cendekiawan yang benar-benar bernafaskan Islam. Pemikiran mereka bukan terikat pada ilmu dan teologi, tetapi pada 'ideologi' Islam yang menjadi landasan berfikir dan pandangan hidupnya. Keterikatan mereka kepada ideologi Islam tidak mungkin ditawar-tawar, kerana mereka adalah intelektual yang menghayati Islam dan memperjuangkan kehidupan Islam di dalam masyarakat.
Manakala seorang lagi intelektual Muslim Indonesia, Azyurmadi Azra, dalam bukunya bertajuk Esei-Esei Intelektual Muslim & Pendidikan Islam menjelaskan peranan intelektual Muslim di dalam masyarakat. Pertama, peranan intelektual Muslim adalah menciptakan dan menyebarkan kebudayaan tinggi. Ia merupakan fungsi utama golongan intelektual. Dalam hal ini, kegiatan intelektual Muslim berusaha mengolah warisan kebudayaan, memperhalus, mengorek dan mengubah warisan-warisan itu dalam bentuk karya-karya baru. Edward Shills, seorang pemikir terkenal mengatakan: "Setiap angkatan cendekiawan melakukan fungsi ini bagi generasinya dan generasi berikutnya." Kaum intelektual Muslim menjadi ahli waris pusaka cendekiawan semua peradaban sebelumnya. Intelektual Muslim menerima dan mengolah pusaka itu menjadi sebuah peradaban dan kebudayaan baru. Untuk itu, para intelektual Muslim berkarya bukanlah terbatas untuk masyarakatnya sendiri, tetapi lebih jauh untuk kepentingan nasional dan antarabangsa, bahkan melahirkan kebudayaan yang bersifat antarabangsa.
Kedua, intelektual Muslim berperanan membina kebudayaan bersama. Dalam hal ini, intelektual Muslim membina masyarakat dengan landasan-landasan kebudayaan umum melalui lembaga-lembaga intelektual reproduktif seperti media, institusi pendidikan dan masjid. Melalui institusi-institusi ini, orang-orang awam menjadi 'sedar' akan adanya orang lain yang mampu memberikan anjakan paradigma baru kepada warga masyarakat. Dengan demikian, kaum intelektual Muslim tidak memencilkan diri atau terasing dengan masyarakatnya.
Peranan ketiga adalah mempengaruhi perubahan sosial. Dengan memberikan contoh-contoh dan norma-norma serta menampilkan lambang yang dapat dihargai, para intelektual berperanan membangkitkan, membimbing dan membentuk bakat-bakat dan daya-daya ekspresif di dalam masyarakat. Tetapi ini tidaklah bererti bahawa kehidupan ekspresif dalam suatu masyarakat secara eksklusif dikuasai oleh cendekiawan. Berkenaan dengan peranan ini, Muhammad Natsir dalam bukunya, Peranan Cendekiawan Muslim menegaskan: "Seandainya para cendekiawan Muslim kurang menyedari tempatnya dalam masyarakat, maka ia akan menjadi orang. 'Ahli' yang memberi nasihat menurut pesanan orang yang meminta. Tetapi kalau ia mengerti kedudukannya, maka si cendekiawan Muslim itu akan menjadi pusat gagasan dan sumber yang penuh kreativiti, penuh idea dan gagasan, memberikan perspektif dan pengarahan kepada lingkungan di sekelilingnya."
Di samping itu, para intelektual Muslim dituntut menghidupkan semangat persatuan di tengah umat yang berpecah hanya kerana perbezaan mazhab, mencari titik pertemuan daripada berbagai aliran pemikiran, menolak penafsiran agama yang melemahkan umat. Di samping itu juga, ia berusaha menanamkan sikap keterbukaan dan saling menghargai pendapat dalam masyarakat Islam selagi masih berada dalam acuan Islam. Namun, yang paling pentingnya adalah seorang intelektual harus memahami sejarah agama dan sejarah bangsanya dan bersikap kritikal dalam menilai sejarah kerana sejarah yang kita warisi banyak membentuk doktrin agama yang kita pegang dan tidak terlepas daripada kepentingan diri serta diwarnai oleh percaturan politik yang diabsahkan dalam bentuk doktrin agama. Oleh itu, para intelektual Muslim amat dituntut untuk berpegang teguh kepada kejujuran ilmiah tanpa dipengaruhi oleh sebarang 'kepentingan'. Dengan kata lain, peranan intelektual Muslim bukan sahaja memastikan umat atau masyarakat yang dipimpinnya berjaya di dunia dan dihormati tetapi juga membimbing masyarakatnya mendapat kejayaan di akhirat.

KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Malaya (UM) mendahului empat universiti tempatan lain dalam senarai 100 Universiti Terbaik Asia, kedudukan serantau pertama yang dikeluarkan oleh The Times Higher Education (THE)-Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). UM menduduki tempat ke-38 sementara Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)(51), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)(69), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)(82) dan Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)(90). Pengarah Urusan QS, Nunzio Quacquarelli, berkata keputusan itu adalah berdasarkan ukuran kecemerlangan serantau sesebuah universiti.

"Universiti yang berprestasi cemerlang ditentukan bukan sahaja berdasarkan kualiti tetapi juga produktiviti kajian mereka, berbanding universiti serantau yang lain," katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini. Beliau berkata, universiti di Malaysia mempunyai prestasi yang baik dengan jumlah pelajar antarabangsa dan fakulti yang banyak yang menjadikan Malaysia tarikan kepada pelajar antarabangsa. Tiga universiti Hong Kong menduduki tangga terbaik dengan University of Hong Kong di kedudukan pertama, diikuti Chinese University of Hong Kong (2), dan Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (3).
