Kindly be informed of the following deadlines:
(a) 15 November 2009 (Sunday):
• Last day of examination week. Last day for students in programmes with thesis to fill in the online Progress Report (GS-11)
form.
(b) 25 November 2009 (Wednesday):
• Last day for Supervisors/Advisors to verify their student’s GS-11 form and key-in the grade for SPS5999/Masters Research and SPS6999/Doctoral Research.
(c) 29 November 2009 (Sunday):
• Last day for the Faculty’s/Institute’s Coordinator of Graduate Studies to endorse the GS-11 forms and grades keyed-in by the Supervisors/Advisors for SPS5999 and SPS6999.
(d) Two weeks after the final examination of each course but not later than 29 November 2009
(whichever comes first):
• Last day for the course lecturer/coordinator to key-in the grades for the respective course
(Compulsory/YW, Elective/ELF, Audit/AU). For an Audit course, marks equivalent to 65 and
above will be graded as M and lower than 65 will be graded as TM.
(e) 17 December 2009 (Thursday):
• Last day for the Faculty’s/Institute’s Coordinator of Graduate Studies to forward the results of re-sit examination to the School of Graduate Studies. Please note that re-sit examinations are for students with Probation or Terminated status who had scored a grade B and below for a given course registered in the semester. Lecturers or course coordinators are advised to arrange the re-sit examination as soon as possible after the result of the examination has been announced to students.
• Last day for Faculties/Institutes to submit the endorsed grades for all courses offered during the Semester to the School of Graduate Studies. [Please submit the hardcopy of the grades (printed from i-GIMS) that have been signed by the course lecturer/coordinator and the Faculty’s/Institute’s Coordinator of Graduate Studies to the School of Graduate Studies].
(f) Two weeks after the date of printing of results or as specified in the Notice to Apply for Review of Termination:• Last day for students to apply for Review of Grade (Form GS-13a).
• Last day for students to apply for Review against Termination (Form GS-13b).
(g) 10 January 2010 (Sunday):
• Last day for ‘TL’ grade to be changed to the actual grade, failing which the students will automatically be given a ‘TM’ and/or ‘F’ grade for the course. Students with ‘TL’ grade shall not be able to register for the following semester. Therefore, it is advisable that the actual grade be keyed in before the registration week of the continuing students, which starts on 28 December 2009.
Your cooperation is highly appreciated to ensure that these deadlines are met. Please be informed that failure in submitting all grades by the deadline shall result in the student getting an ‘N’, ‘TM’ and/or ‘F’. Those with ‘N’ or ‘TM’ and/or ‘F’ shall not be able to register for the following semester.
